Description

Discourse on non-self, a desanā (sermon) text. The main text is in Pali, with later annotations in Thai in Khom script. In Pali and Thai (Khom script). Two lateral holes woth tie cord. Powder rubbed into incisions. Edges of folios stained gold and black. Ff.ga and ga are blank and unlettered. Some marginal comments, insertions, and corrections in black ink. Some mistakes covered over with yellow. Mold is growing around some of the lateral holes. Top layer of the leaves, particularly on last folios, has begun to come off, especially around the left tie cord holes. This has not interfered with the text, however. The area around the left lateral hole on f. nu has broken away, making a very large hole which, nevertheless, does not interfere with the text. Written in 5 lines per leaf. Leaves of palm leaf with two central holes approximately 20 cm apart; damage to holes and edges on some leaves; gilt edges. Possibly written in the 1850s or 1860s.
