Description | Silver box with jewelled top. Rectangular with petalloid ends. Repousse decoration around sides and ends includes 12 human figures, of which the four at each end are gilded. Applied gold plaque front and back of Naga, with lapis lazuli and a little turquoise inlay. Swastika border around bottom of sides and around overlapping edge of lid. Lid of gold filigree with a coral and a turquoise border. Central figure of coral on gold plaque with turquoise frame; to each side a monkey figure of lapis lazuli. Jewels include spinel rubies, emeralds, aquamarines, lapis, turquoise and coral. |
